Jewellery he'll still wear after Boxing Day: what to buy without his size, what to spend, and the 2026 dates to order by.

Christmas Gifts for Men: Jewellery He'll Actually Wear
In this guide

Need Christmas gifts for men that won't end up in a drawer? Jewellery works, but only if he still wears it after Boxing Day. The pieces that get worn suit how he already dresses, fit without a guessed size and arrive before 25 December.

This guide covers all three. Every price comes from the hotsteel Collection range as it stands this season: rings from $99, cufflinks from $110 and bracelets from $165.

What jewellery makes a good Christmas gift for men?

The best Christmas jewellery gifts for men are pieces that don't need his size: cufflinks, pendants and chain necklaces. A ring needs his exact letter size, so choose one only if you can borrow a ring he already wears. Bracelets sit in between, because most come in a single size.

Gift Needs His Size? Hotsteel Price Best For
Cufflinks No $110 to $150 (23 styles) Office workers, grooms, party season
Pendant or necklace Rarely (the Compass Pendant Necklace comes in 50cm or 55cm) $160 to $250 Men who already wear a chain, or want a symbol that means something
Bracelet Sometimes (most are one size, two list a 21cm length) $165 to $290 Watch wearers and gym-to-dinner types
Ring Yes, an exact letter size (S to Y, depending on the style) $99 to $150 Men who already wear a ring you can borrow

All of it is 316 marine-grade steel, same as the rest of our men's stainless steel jewellery range. That matters in December. Christmas here means 35 degrees, a crowded backyard and a bloke who won't take anything off until New Year.

    Which jewellery suits which man?

Look at what he already wears. Not what you wish he wore.

For dad. Still puts on a suit for weddings or work? Get him cufflinks. There's nothing to size, we stock 22 styles, and the dearest pair is $150. Polo-shirt dads suit a pendant with meaning instead. Our men's pendants include crosses, dog tags and the Compass Pendant Necklace ($250, in 50cm or 55cm).

    Which jewellery suits which man?

For your husband, partner or boyfriend. Go for a bracelet. He'll wear it every day, which is the whole point. Our pick is the Eclipse Black Diamond Bracelet ($170): brushed steel, black links and one black diamond set in the centre link. The Signature Black Diamond Bracelet ($220) adds black and rose gold. See the full bracelets range.

    Bracelet

For a brother, son or mate. A $99 ring is the easy win, as long as you know his size. The Stepped Spinner Steel Ring has a spinning middle band he'll turn in every meeting. Tungsten fans get the Faceted Tungsten Carbide Ring at $110. Browse all men's rings.

    Men's Ring

For the man who says he doesn't wear jewellery. Start small. Cufflinks sit on his shirt, not his skin. Or try the Black Rubber & Steel Active Link Bracelet ($170). It pairs steel with sport rubber, and it's light enough that he'll forget it's there by lunch.

How much should you spend on a Christmas jewellery gift for him?

Plan on $110 to $200. That range covers every cufflink style in our store and most of our bracelets and pendants.

Budget What You'll Find at Hotsteel Example
Up to $150 All 5 rings ($99 to $150) and all 23 cufflink styles ($110 to $150) Faceted Tungsten Carbide Ring, $110
$160 to $199 Most pendants and bracelets Eclipse Black Diamond Bracelet, $170
$200 and over Statement crosses, the Compass Pendant and our top-priced bracelets Compass Pendant Necklace, $250

Free delivery orders over $120 within Australia. Most pendants and bracelets get you there on their own, or pair a $110 ring for your brother with $110 cufflinks for Dad.

Our rough rule, and it's only that: up to $150 for a brother or mate, and somewhere between $150 and $250 for a partner or your dad.

How do you buy jewellery for him without knowing his size?

Skip the guess. Buy a piece that needs no size, or borrow something he already wears.

Rings. Ours come in Australian letter sizes from S to Y, and each style carries its own spread. Borrow a ring he wears on the same finger and ask any jeweller to size it. No ring to borrow? Choose cufflinks or a pendant instead.

Bracelets. Most of ours come in one size. The Signature Black Diamond and Black Diamond ID bracelets list a 21cm length. Pinch a watch he wears, measure the strap at the hole he actually uses, and compare.

Necklaces. The Compass Pendant Necklace comes in two lengths. 50cm sits around the collarbone. 55cm drops a little lower, so go long if he wears his shirts open.

When should you order Christmas jewellery to arrive in time in 2026?

For Christmas 2026, Australia Post needs Parcel Post from Victoria by Tuesday 22 December for Victorian addresses, Monday 21 December for NSW, the ACT, Queensland, SA and Tasmania, Friday 18 December for WA and Wednesday 16 December for the NT.

Don't leave it late. Australia Post delivered almost 111 million parcels in November and December last year, and every one of them shared the same trucks.

Our rule of thumb: order at least a week before the date in your row, so we have time to pack and post. Add a few more days for regional and remote addresses, which Australia Post also recommends.

What if the gift isn't quite right?

It depends on whether the piece is faulty or he just doesn't love it.

Faulty. The person who receives a gift has the same basic rights as the person who bought it, according to the ACCC. If a clasp or link fails, contact us for a repair, replacement or refund. Our 6-month warranty sits on top of those rights.

Change of mind. The law doesn't cover this, but our store policy does. You get 14 days from delivery to return a piece that's unworn, in its original packaging and with proof of purchase, and you cover the return postage. That clock starts when the parcel arrives, not when he unwraps it. Still unsure of his size and ordering in November? Pick a piece that needs none, and read our refund policy first.

    Frequently asked questions

What's a good jewellery gift for a man who has everything?

Upgrade something he already uses. A man with a drawer of cheap cufflinks gets one good steel pair. Wears a watch? Put a bracelet next to it. A pendant with a symbol he cares about, like a compass or a cross, works too. One good piece he'll use beats a box of five he won't.

How much should I spend on a Christmas jewellery gift for him?

Around $110 to $200 covers it. With us, rings start at $99 and cufflinks top out at $150, while bracelets run from $165 up to $290. Pick a number for each person before you start browsing, because sales have a way of moving it. Free delivery orders over $120.

When is the last day to order Christmas gifts online in Australia in 2026?

For Parcel Post sent from Victoria, Australia Post's last lodgement day is Monday 21 December to NSW, the ACT, Queensland, SA and Tasmania, and Tuesday 22 December within Victoria. WA closes on Friday 18 December and the NT on Wednesday 16 December. Order about a week earlier to allow for packing.

Are cufflinks a good Christmas present?

Yes, for any man who wears a shirt with French or convertible cuffs to work, weddings or the Christmas party. Cufflinks need no size, so the fit can't go wrong. We stock 22 pairs from $110 to $150, in onyx, carbon fibre and mother of pearl, and many with a small black diamond.

Can he return jewellery he got as a gift?

If it's faulty, yes. Under Australian Consumer Law, the person who got the gift has the same rights as the person who paid. Changed his mind? That depends on the store. Ours gives 14 days from delivery for unworn, boxed pieces, so an early order can run out of time before Christmas Day. Keep the receipt.

Is stainless steel jewellery a good gift for men?

Yes. It doesn't tarnish, it copes with being worn every day, and it costs a fraction of gold. It has some weight to it too, so it feels like a proper present when he opens the box. Our pieces use 316 marine-grade steel, which shrugs off sweat, sunscreen and a summer swim.

Still stuck? Start with the pieces other customers buy most in our jewellery gifts for him collection, then order early.
